What is a used 20 ft DNV Offshore container?
This container is the pivotal maritime format of the offshore segment. "DNV Offshore" means it is certified DNV 2.7-1, the mandatory standard for handling at sea. The term "used" means it is an inspected used unit, sourced from a used fleet that is inspected before being put back on sale. The standard 8'6" (2.591 m) height accommodates all standardized offshore equipment.

This is the reference format for North Sea operations: operating oil platforms, offshore wind farms, supply vessels. The inspected used structure combines a Corten steel casing, a weathering steel that naturally resists marine corrosion, fully welded to absorb the impacts of handling in rough seas, and a steel floor.
The lifting equipment is complete: reinforced frame, anti-slip pads on the underside, forged steel rings standardized to DNV, and a spreader bar, the lifting yoke that distributes the load across the four corners, included, compatible with all DNV-certified cranes.
For a Used version, National Conteneur uses this technical base as a reference, then qualifies each unit according to its actual condition: structure, weatherproofing, doors, floor, markings, documents and equipment specific to the product family. The technical information therefore remains that of the model, while cosmetic condition, availability and certificates depend on the batch offered.

The DNV 2.7-1 standard, current designation DNVGL-ST-E271, is issued by Det Norske Veritas, the Norwegian maritime certification body. This is the mandatory condition for access to certified offshore cranes: major operators (TotalEnergies, Equinor, Shell, BP for oil and gas, Vestas and Siemens Gamesa for offshore wind) refuse any loading without a valid certificate.
