A Platform is a bare maritime chassis: a low steel deck, with no roof, no side walls, and no high end walls. The "used" designation refers to a reconditioned unit; a box that has already been in service, refurbished and inspected at a depot before being put back into circulation. The 20ft format is the range's intermediate size.

The deck, clear on all four sides, allows transport of parts that exceed even the ends of a Flat Rack. The Corten steel structure, a self-weathering steel that naturally resists marine corrosion, retains its original integrity. The floor and the lashing points are inspected at depot, and replaced in case of degradation.

Both families are decks for out-of-gauge loads, with no roof or side walls. The difference lies in the ends. The Flat Rack keeps two fixed high end walls, front and rear. The Platform removes those too: all that remains is a bare steel deck.
