The new structure is built on a Corten steel box, a self-weathering steel that naturally resists marine corrosion, fully welded, with a reinforced steel or wood floor sized for concentrated loads.

Both families are decks for out-of-gauge loads, with no roof or side walls. The difference lies in the ends. The Flat Rack keeps two fixed high end walls, front and rear. The Platform removes those too: all that remains is a bare steel deck.
