What is a used 45 ft Reefer HC Pallet Wide shipping container?
This container combines three specialties of the maritime segment. "Reefer" refers to a refrigerated container with an active refrigeration unit, which produces and regulates cold. "HC" stands for High Cube: additional height compared to the standard 8'6" format. "Pallet Wide" refers to an increased internal width, optimized for the Euro pallet. "Used" refers to a reconditioned unit; a box already in service, overhauled and checked at the depot before being returned to circulation.

The Corten steel and stainless steel structure keeps its original 45 ft integrity after several service cycles. The refrigeration unit (from a refrigeration equipment manufacturer, a refrigeration unit manufacturer or a refrigeration unit manufacturer) is tested at the depot, the polyurethane insulation, an insulating foam, is checked by a thermal test, and the flat aluminum floor is cleaned. This unit is offered at an accessible cost compared to the first-trip, i.e. new, model.
