This container combines three specifications from the shipping segment. "Reefer" refers to a refrigerated container with an active cooling unit that produces and regulates cold. "HC" stands for High Cube: extra height compared with the standard 8'6" format. "Pallet Wide" refers to a widened interior, optimized for the Europe pallet. The term "first-trip" means it is a new unit, out of the factory after a single positioning journey.
The new structure combines a fully welded Corten steel and stainless steel body, polyurethane insulation, an insulating foam, 7 cm thick, and a flat aluminum floor suited to pallet stacking. The cooling unit (refrigeration equipment manufacturer, cooling unit builder, or cooling unit manufacturer) regulates a range of −25°C to +25°C, powered by 400 Volts 50 Hz - Three-phase 3P + N - 4-pole male plug - 32A - cable approx. 10 m – 50/60 Hz.
In the ultra-long 45ft HC Pallet Wide format, the unit offers 89 m³ of usable volume for a 27,890 kg payload and holds 27 Europe pallets on the floor. It is the benchmark for high-volume pan-European food and pharmaceutical exports; to post-Brexit United Kingdom, Scandinavia and Central Europe.
