What is a first-trip 40 ft Reefer 4-motor shipping container?
A Reefer container is a refrigerated container: a built-in refrigeration unit produces and maintains a chosen temperature, from −25 °C to +25 °C. The 4-motor Reefer is a configuration specific to the National Conteneur catalog: a 9'6" High Cube box, raised about 30 cm, fitted not with one, but with four redundant refrigeration units.

This redundancy provides operational safety. If one or two motors fail, the others automatically take over: thermal regulation continues uninterrupted until maintenance can intervene. The refrigeration units are compatible with a refrigeration equipment manufacturer, a refrigeration unit manufacturer or a refrigeration unit manufacturer.
